About

Ailsa Campbell is a strategic partner with a proven track record of delivering creative solutions to get things done in community-led development.

Ailsa offers consultancy services in all aspects of community development and regeneration, enhanced by her 30 years expertise in communication design. She works with communities and their organisations at every stage whether they are just starting out or more established.

Approach & Values

Ailsa has a collaborative approach, working with communities, local and national government, funders and commercial partners. As a community volunteer herself, she has 18 years of ‘on the ground’ experience, understanding the challenges community groups face and appreciating the passion they bring and the time they give.

Ailsa leads community volunteers, sharing her experience and knowledge, to enable and strengthen organisations to achieve their goals. Underlying all of her work, is the desire to unite people, build valuable social capital and strengthen the community.

Ailsa works with other consultants with expertise in community legislation, property law and PR and brings them in on projects when required.

Background

Ailsa has deep expertise in community-led development, regeneration of local assets, social enterprise and building social capital. As Co-Founder and Chair of Crieff Community Trust (CCT) since 2013, Ailsa has led numerous successful projects including two community action plans, a Community Right to Buy application, establishing a co-working space social enterprise, organisational development of the CCT board for future sustainability and establishing a Town Team of various organisations with a joint strategy for Crieff and its capital projects.

In addition to her community work, Ailsa is a professional graphic designer with 30 years experience. She recently completed an MBA at the University of Strathclyde Business School receiving the Dean’s Prize for her Dissertation on building Social Capital within communities.
